Studio project that was completed for Google in existing leased space. The Studio is adjacent to occupied office areas that needed to be operational at all times.
Remodel of Google’s 4th Floor Bistro Cafe on the 4th floor was completed on an expedited schedule to minimize the downtime for one of Google‘s main café and event spaces. This work was only possible after BBI completed 2 additional dining/cooking facilities on other floors.
Expansion of Google’s headquarters space at 111 Eighth Avenue incorporated a variety of design and construction challenges to achieve this unique and creative work environment. Early involvement of the construction manager with budgeting, value engineering services, constructability reviews, site logistics, and unprecedented communication between team members allowed these goals to be successfully achieved.
Renovation of Google’s main café and cooking kitchen on the 8th floor was completed on a expedited schedule to minimize the downtime for Google‘s main cooking and dining facility. This work was only possible after BBI completed 2 additional dining/cooking facilities on other floors.
Expansion of Google’s café on the 8th floor incorporated the challenges of working adjacent to, tying into operating kitchen exhaust, duct, and steam systems without disturbing existing kitchen operations.
Floors 9-11 with a common area meeting space and featured art installations.
Expansion spaces with in neighboring Chelsea Market building.
