Construction of two floors for brand-new library branch

Project Highlights

  • Situated at the base of a new 36-story tower, the Brooklyn Heights Branch Library will be the largest branch library in the Brooklyn Public Library’s system.
  • 26,620 GSF branch fit out will include a very visible and extensive book collection across its three floor levels.
  • An abundance of open co-working space, reading areas, study rooms, meeting rooms, powered furniture, a large multipurpose room at the lower level, and a stepped reading circle at the first floor level.
  • Key architectural components include perforated metal stairs and guardrails throughout, natural wood finishes at walls, floors & ceilings, acoustic baffle details, and upholstered seating within the children’s areas.
